As an Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the heart of our CCGT power plant operations. This position is ideal for a dynamic professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the plant. You will be on the front lines, directly impacting our commitment to safe, reliable, and efficient power generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control plant operations through advanced control systems in a shift-based schedule(day-afternoon-night).
  • Conduct thorough inspections, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • Implement Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure the safety of all maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance.
  • Analyse operational data and perform big data analytics to interpret complex datasets, contributing to the development of comprehensive performance metrics
  • Oversee projects from conceptualization to implementation to ensure continuation improvement of operational activity. This includes detailed planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with evolving environmental and safety regulations. Develop and implement strategic initiatives for emissions reduction and sustainability.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, ensuring plant safety and stability.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay on top of the latest industry standards and technologies.
  • Engage in the critical stages of plant construction and commissioning, ensuring seamless transition from project conception to operational excellence.

Job requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field),
  • Proven experience in industrial operations, preferably in a CCGT environment.
  • Strong understanding of power plant systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Full professional proficiency in both French and English; Dutch is a plus.
