Operations Manager - CCGT Power Plant

As the Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing our new 870 MW gas-fired power plant. This role is pivotal in overseeing the plant's operations, ensuring 24/7 monitoring, and maintaining high standards of efficiency, reliability, and performance. You will lead a team of professionals, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire operation of the CCGT power plant, ensuring adherence to production schedules, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, managing recruitment, training, and personal development, with a focus on health, safety, and well-being.
• Drive continuous improvement in plant operations, collaborating with the maintenance team to achieve key objectives and KPIs.
• Play a crucial role in emergency response coordination and decision-making.
• Contribute to the long-term strategy of the power plant, including technological upgrades and process optimizations.
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation management for all operational activities.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Luminus trading department, and ensure compliance with all Luminus policies.
• Oversee the integration of new technologies and innovations into plant operations.

• A Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in an industrial environment, specifically in power generation would be an asset.
• Proven leadership and team management experience, prior experience in a 24/7 operational environment is a significant plus..
• Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, project management, and change management.
• Excellent communication skills, full professional proficiency in both French and English; Dutch is a plus.
