Proces Operator Controlekamer

As Process Operator Power Plant at Luminus, you will be working with more than 2,000 colleagues on a green future. You and your colleagues will ensure that our Ringvaart power plant can continue to produce energy and meet its production targets. As an operator you are responsible for the production of electricity and heat. You do this by starting, stopping and modulating our flexible units according to the imposed production schedule.

Some of your responsibilities include

• You are responsible for the operation and monitoring of Luminus' production facilities in the Ghent region, on site or via remote monitoring.
• In doing so, you strive for maximum availability of the installations for the production of electricity and heat for the district heating network
• In case of technical problems, you arrange for intervention by maintenance services, report abnormal events in the processes and find out the causes.
• You will work in a full-time shift system.
• As a process operator, you play a very important role in overall safety on our site:
  • You will participate in securing facilities during maintenance work.
  • You organize safety tours and perform the necessary checks on the site.
  • You monitor and avoid environmental violations.

Who are we looking for?

• Someone who, like us, is bitten by renewable energy and wants to contribute to a green future.
• A first experience in process industry is a plus 
• Of course you are a team player, but you can also work independently and make the necessary decisions. So you are a stress-resistant person who always puts safety first!
• You are fluent with MS Office and can get by in French and English? Top!
