MISSION and main tasks

Luminus is looking for an experienced professional with expertise in the field of HV electrical power system and turbomachinery generators. This expert will perform the engineering for new electrical connections and will take part to some power asset projects.

The activities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Engineering for new electrical connections in power businesses: thermal, hydro, wind and storage.

• Project management depending on the assignment.

• Support power asset owners for maintenance, incident troubleshooting and best practice sharing in the field of expertise.

• Reporting to Projects Director on internal consultancy and project management with a solution driven mindset.
• Follow-up of international developments of ENTSO-e (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity) and Synergrid (Federation of electricity and gas distribution grid operators in Belgium).
• Management and coaching of a small team of electrical engineers acting as project managers in power asset projects.
• Leadership role as key expert in the development of HV power business, e.g. discussions with the authorities, the clients or the suppliers.
• Development and sharing of expertise on HV power systems within Luminus production.
• Collaboration with support departments as Procurement, Optimization, Corporate Affairs, Legal and Finance in the elaboration of business plans and strategic positioning.
• Active participation to EDF group synergy in the field of expertise.

• Master degree in engineering, mandatory in electrical engineering or electromechanical engineering. A PhD in a HV power systems is an asset.

• Profound knowledge of HV power systems and turbomachinery generators.
• Experience with wind turbines, PV plants, battery storage or turbomachinery manufacturers is a strong asset
• 10 years-experience with projects related to HV electrical connections and HV equipment engineering or maintenance

• Experience in project management of power asset development and construction

• Capability to use HV electrical design tools (Eplan or similar)

• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to different counterparties: internal resources, partners, EDF group and clients

• Dutch or French proficiency with a professional proficiency in English (the engineering and procurement language)

• Driving license B for project mobility
• You are consumer-oriented, organized, able to meet challenges and you have negotitation skills.
